Bush Shoe Attack Spoofed
The shoe-attack of a reporter on President George W. Bush of the United States during a press conference in Iraq was a surprise (left pic; click to view in the BBC), but it did create a lot of serious reaction where people either took the side of the shoe-throwing reporter or the U.S. There have been calls for the release of the journalist who has gained a kind of celebrity status, but the U.S. government stated that it's up to the Iraqis to determine the fate of the angry reporter. President Bush reportedly simply shrugged off the incident.
On the lighter side of the shoe-throwing, there already have been video spoofs of the press conference event. It just shows that there are still those who view things like these happening like a humorous editorial cartoon, and in this age of the Internet video, there's less of the editorial and more of the humor. Watch this video on this side of the story.
