Eric Bana, who played The Hulk in Ang Lee's movie, will now play the villain,
Nero, in the upcoming Star Trek movie, a prequel to the original series which will showcase a young cast for the well known crew of the Starship Enterprise.
The old Star Trek cast of William Shatner (Captain Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (Spock), James Doohan (Scotty), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura), George Takei (Sulu), and DeForest Kelley (McCoy) was once replaced by the Next Generation of actors when the cult science-fiction series was revived.
Now, even their characters will be replaced by a younger generation of actors for the latest movie. Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu, and McCoy will now be played by Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, and Karl Urban respectively. I must say casting for director J.J. Abrams must have been difficult. You have to get the look, personality, and character right for thousands of fans out there. Did he get it right?
