Clone Wars Series to Stem from 3-D Animation Movie
The war never seems to end for George Lucas. In August, the latest Star Wars movie, this time a 3-D animated one, will lure a galaxy of fans expected to come in full force to theaters. Never mind the boxy disproportioned characters, it's still Star Wars!
Obi Wan Kenobi dons his bathrobe once again as a bearded Jedi (albeit a rendered one) to join forces with other knights to do battle against the evil forces bent on ruling the galaxy. Will this be as thrilling as the last three? Maybe not (but then again, maybe yes). It fills in story gaps in the Star Wars series, creating an even bigger canvas for more stories and epics for years to come.
An series will follow in the same 3-D animation format which will air in the Cartoon Network. Remember that Jedi series that recently played there with the Samurai Jack-style drawings? Well, this banks on the success of that one and will surely create another cult following.
Lucas has plans for a live action series that take place before Luke Skywalker leaves Tatooine to become a Jedi. The end seems to be far far away...

See a stormtrooper dressed as Elvis... or is it the other way around?
